Its just not that straightforward to type for some time, on a touchscreen without the sensation of a physical depressed key, to guide you along the next letters and allow you to build some rhythm for longer sentences.

Introducing the Asus SL101 Slider Pad and sliding keyboard in one . A neat looking machine technically fitted with the best of both laptop and tablet worlds.

At a component level, there are not too many complaints. Highlights, The Nvidia Tegra 2 (ARM Cortex 9) 1.0Ghz dual-core CPU  allows true multi-tasking and HD video playback. 1GB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 16GB/32GB Storage Memory are all normal for a tablet device in this price bracket.

2 Powerful cameras, a 1.2MP Front Camera and 5 Mega Pixle Rear result in more than satisfactory viewing through the 10.1″ WXGA LED backlit screen running (1280×800)

Android 3.1 Honeycomb as standard, the normal inferfaces are included: USB 2.0, Mini HDMI, Audio Jack, Micro SD Card-Reader

 

The icing is the full size Qwerty keyboard that slides neatly under the tablet when you need your tablet device in presentation mode.

On the software side Polaris Office and MyCloud services are included as well as some cool sensors; Gravity (to adjust portrait and landscape automatically) Light sensor (to adjust brightness of screen automatically) Gyroscope, E-compass and GPS !

Weiging in at under 1kg, its light but their are lighter tablets on the market with a Tegra 2 Dual-Core Chip, like the Sony S Tablet or the Samsung Galaxy Tab but they dont have the added benefit of the slide on and slide off keyboard.
