The brand NEW Gigabyte S1080 is a high end Tablet from motherboard experts Gigabyte.
Gigabyte are not new to the tablet market with their T Range of Netbooks that were tablets and netbooks combined.
This is their first slate device, and its just the right time to enter the market.
The processor speeds for smaller devices are now available at reasonable cost, and the screen sizes of tablet have evolved up to a standard 10- 12” with 1024 x 800 Plus resolution.
The heart of the tablet is the N570 Atom, Dual Core 1.66GHz with the Intel GMA 3150 Graphics Chipset.
The memory is a maximum of 2GB DDR3 (supplied) which is a bit disappointing as a 4GB option it would have propelled this tablet to superstar status.
Plenty of storage with a 320GB Sata Hard Drive with 2 USBs for extra external storage.
The usual interfaces, network, wireless, Bluetooth 3.0 Earphone and Speaker with the extra HS WWAN (3.5G) with a 3.5G Antenna Built In for true mobile computing.

The best thing about this tablet device is that all the best features have been targeted at the right components.
The Processor is as good as any consumer slate in the Top 10 Tablet PC, and the memory although non upgradeable is still a more than decent 2GB. Everything else you need is squeezed jam packed into a relatively portable chassis.
This tablet slate pc is portable, expandable and connectable and a lot easier to use than many tablets.
