The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 makes it into the Top 10 tablet Pc, not least as it’s the next generation of Touchscreen Android Tablet Computers, nor that it’s a genuine upgrade from the 7 inch Galaxy Tab which was one of the best in class of that generation.
When released (March 2011 in Europe and Asia). The main features are 10.1 inch display at a 1280 x 800 resolution, a 1Ghz Dual Core Processor, Dual Surround Sound Speakers built in, High Definition recording and Full HD playback.
Tablet manufacturers haven’t learnt from their netbook counterparts- and have ploughed into the 7 inch and under tab market, but are now automatically being drawn upwards as they realize there’s little demand for a product somewhere between a mobile phone and a laptop.

You’ll get a mobile phone if you need truly portable devices, and you’ll get a small laptop if you need a larger screen?
Anyway, back to the Galaxy Tab- the Samsung tablet will be shipped with the impressive Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore 1Ghz Tegra 2 Processor by graphics specialist Nvidia.
The Tegra series are revolutionizing mobile devices with their high performance and low power consumption chipsets.
This is 10-30% faster than the PowerVR SGX540 of the First Generation Tablet from Samsung. No compromising of power here !
With choice of 16GB or 32GB Internal Memory and extra microSD card slot, then its not a huge storage capacity, but more than enough for majority of uses.
Two cameras – an 8MP Auto Focus rear camera taking HD pictures and a 2MP front camera for conferencing are a brilliant addition to a jam packed tablet that weighs in at just under 0.6 of a kilogram, about considerably less than an iPad.
The tablet runs on Honeycomb, Android’s latest platform especially for tablets and mobile slates. This gives you ready access to all the Google services, Calendar, Maps for Mobile and telephony Google Mobile Services.
Network connectivity includes A-GPS and standard b/g/n wireless network. Bluetooth and 3G Services mean that all angles are covered for communication.

Summary
Not yet released, we are pretty sure that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will spawn a host of Android 3.0 ready tablets and the race for lighter and more usable tablets and slate computers will resume at full speed.
The processor power of frontrunners, Motorola Xoom and Apple IPads are also reaching a critical juncture where they will be soon comparable to computers and laptops.
The marriage with ARM and Nvidia to produce the Tegra 2 Series is one surely made in tablet heaven. For this reason the Samsung Galaxy Tab, though not the sturdiest product as compared to the IPad, is proof the next generation of Tablet Computer has arrived.
